Imaginary Body — Butoh Workshop By Ibuki Kuramochi @ibuki_kuramochi unfolded with depth and presence.

Presented by @performance_in_flux IN COLLABORATION WITH SYNCOPATE COLLECTIVE.

The workshop reached full capacity, and we are truly grateful for the strong support and presence of our community and to @syncopatecollective

The space felt ali
ve with concentration and shared energy. It was powerful to witness a community slowing down, listening inwardly, and fully inhabiting the imaginary body together.

Guided by Ibuki Kuramochi, participants engaged a practice rooted in the philosophy of Kazuo Ohno — exploring embodied memory, internal imagery, and the poetic transformation of the body. Through somatic exercises and improvisations, the work moved beyond fixed choreography, inviting subtle physical states and deep attention.
