PERFORMANCE IN FLUX is a curatorial platform founded and directed by artist and curator Tere Garcia, dedicated to live performance, video art, and new media.
Founded in 2023, the platform emerged from Garcia’s engagement with performance art as an artist, educator, and curator and has developed into an ongoing program of exhibitions, live performances, video screenings, artist talks, workshops, and collaborations. Performance in Flux presents artists working across different generations, perspectives, and geographic contexts, with a focus on creating meaningful opportunities for exchange and visibility.
The platform is grounded in an interest in the ways performance can move between the live and the mediated, and in how the body, presence, image, and technology can shape contemporary artistic practices. Its programs create a space for artists to experiment with different forms of performance while considering how work is experienced through physical presence, moving image, and new media.
Since its founding, Performance in Flux has curated more than eleven programs featuring the work of more than 200 artists, bringing together local, national, and international practices.
At its core, Performance in Flux is a space for encounter, experimentation, and exchange—connecting artists, audiences, and ideas across bodies, screens, technologies, and places.
